Visual Identity work for a healthy and conscious cafe from South Florida - US
2022
Our world desperately needs now more than ever better habits for farming, cooking and eating. We have the responsibility to promote a better understanding of what quality food entails and how good it can make us feel. Santiago and Andrea, siblings and founders of Gratefuel, a cozy and neighbor friendly cafe in South Florida, share their purpose with their community and welcome everyone to join them into this conscious & grateful lifestyle.
They wanted to invite people who doesn’t necessarily identifies themselves as “healthy” nor connects with the classic green / organic aesthetic constantly associated with these type of brands, to join them into a new kind of healthy + grateful lifestyle and give a new positive, tasteful and fun meaning to the word.
For the design approach a sloth was used as the main mascot to represent a conscious and slow food lifestyle and the iconic tropical environment of South Florida 🦥🌴 on the other hand the brand wanted to emulate fun, as the fresh and amazing flavor of their food cannot be displayed just visually, we used a color palette filled with vivid and expressive colors and graphics that represent their outstanding ingredients.
